They’re the rules of nationality so would be hard to change. Irish use the Grandparents, Parent rule as they don’t have the players. You have to try to compete when teams like Italy, Spain etc pick Brazilians who have no links to their country for example Diego Costa

I don’t think it’s right when anyone does it. If you’re born somewhere and grow up there, that’s who you should play for otherwise you end up in this shit-show of a situation.

Is 50% of your heritage sketchy? Maybe to some people. England do it all country’s do it. It’s the senior caps things which is shocking on his part. Singing the nation anthem, saying it’s the proudest moment of your life etc etc The he gets a new agent apparently and wants to play for England. Noble got offered the chance to play for Ireland and said no

Nobody comes out of this well. First off, he shouldn't have been playing for Ireland. He's English. That's on him and Ireland. As for him being a kid, that's bollocks, we infantalise people these days by calling them kids well into adulthood. That being said, once he's played for Ireland that should be the end of the matter.
International football is a bit of a joke, this doesn't help it.

Let’s be real. Countries are grabbing kids with sketchy links to their countries at younger and younger ages.
Most players don’t really mature into top players until they are in their early to mid twenties. It’s at this point that you should expect to be picked by your country.
By grabbing these players at 18 and 19 who may have the potential to be really good they are abusing the whole thing. It’s easier for parents / adults to get young people to do what they want them to do. But when your a bit older your more mature and can make the decision for yourself. You will also know what they likelihood of you being a top player will be.
International teams should not be trying to cap players that barely make the 1st team in their own clubs. Especially ones that have an obvious loyalty to another country. It’s Ireland’s fault really. If they keep doing what they’re doing this situation will happen more and more.

Absolutely is a long shot, he hasn't proven himself with us yet let alone be anywhere near the best English midfielder. You silly cunts do get carried away. Three good performances and you all cum in your pants. It's embarrassing. Tomorrow will be a good test, a team that won't give him all day to turn or pick a pass, they'll be up in his face. If he plays really well tomorrow I'll start to believe he might be more than a converted CB. But England talk is stupid and puts unnecessary pressure on the lad.
And I don't fucking care if you agree or not, you fucking peasants.

Liam Brady was Irish and in my personal opinion was the most impressive player I ever witnessed playing for West ham, most of you Irish haters are actually Irish which makes you quite pathetic .
Nationalism once you start to read and educate yourself you will realise is mostly propaganda and bollocks which is a requirement to create Army's and people to protect the state and those even higher up. Good luck to Declan he will if he stays fit and well be an England legend he is so clever and brilliantly aware of what he has to do.

Has announced he now wants to be known as Derek.
His competition is Eric Dier, Delph and Henderson. It’s hardly like trying to get in the Argentinian team ahead of Messi and Aguero.

My grand parents on my mother's side are Irish, but I don't think of myself as remotely irish. In fact I see Ireland as a bitter, jealous and hostile enemy country. Good luck to Declan I am sure he will make it to the full England squad, despite the negative influence of his Dad.

“I’m looking forward to the new manager turning Declan Rice into a strong English defender for the future of the England team,” David Gold told Talksport.
In May.
And everyone laughed at the old sod.

So what if he only gets one England cap?
He's English, he has chosen to play for his country.
The end.

I just hope, if he chooses England, they don’t just cap him once, so he can’t change back allegiance to RoE.
That is what will happen.
England also fought for Grealish? How many caps does he have?

It should not matter to us who the lad plays for so let’s respect his choice and let him get on with it.
What is important for me is that Rice develops into a really good player, an automatic first choice, for us.
